Plymouth Artisan Cheese (Bridgewater)

Plymouth Artisan Cheese is one of the oldest cheese factories in the United States. First opened in 1890, by President Calvin Coolidge’s father, John, Plymouth Cheese Factory was created as a way to increase the shelf life of his dairy farm’s milk. Now owned by a local family, Plymouth Cheese is still made with the same great recipe and is known as America’s Oldest Cheddar. Head over to Plymouth, Vermont (and stay tuned for a new tasting room opening in Bridgewater soon!) to try some of this delicious cheddar for yourself. Open 7 days a week 11am-4pm.

Sugarbush Farm Maple Syrup & Cheese

Sugarbush Farm is a rural farm in Woodstock that specializes in cheese and maple syrup production. Take a beautiful scenic drive through rollings hills to tour their farm, sample cheese and maple syrup, and learn about the sugaring process. This 4 generation Luce Family Farm is a fun and easy field from the village. Admission to the farm is free and they are open year round, daily from 9am-5pm.

Bourdon Maple Farm on Bourdon Rd. in Woodstock is a pure, organic, hand-crafted maple farm in the heart of Vermont. Schedule a tour online, ($20 for adults and free for children) to tour the sugarhouse and learn how they make maple syrup. Tours are an hour long and include a maple syrup flight tasting.
